Logo Analysis
My logo is
split into different elements, the purpose of, my logo was to show
the audience what type of genre and audience I am aiming at.
The audience
for my logo can be aimed at younger people and teenagers this is
because it is simple enough for younger people to look at but good
for teenagers.
One of my eight
elements I have used is a symbol, my symbol is the star, I chose this
symbol because it went with the name of the logo 'cigam' this is
magic spelt backwards and felt that magic and stars link nicely
together. The star is also simple as of the way it looks and the
colour of it. I didn't want my symbol to be too big or too much too
look at as it will only be on screen for a few seconds.
Colours was
also another element I added, I kept my colour scheme sweet and
simple, black and white really stand out I think and to have this as
my logo colour scheme works really nice.
The words I
have used is another element I have used, on my logo it says 'cigam
productions' this short and snappy and I think it can be catchy. The
way the words are presented make it seem like there are more. I could
have maybe added a little slogan just to make the logo look more
entertaining and maybe specifically show what genre my logo presents.
I spent a lot
of time trying to find the perfect font for my logo, I wanted it to
be bold and big so the audience were drawn to it, the best font I
could find which was big and simple was 'arial black'.
Again with my
symbol that I have used the star also counts as a shape and I think
that if my logo and too many shapes and symbols on it then it
wouldn't be as simple as I wanted it. I have also drawn two short
lines above the 'c' and under the 's' the starting and ending letter
of the logo, I think this makes the logo look more sophisticated.
The clarity and
boldness used is easy to see, I have used to very different shades of
colours, light and dark, black and white. These two make each other
look bold and big. It draws attention to the eye.
I got inspired
to make my logo from other logos such as 'Miramax Films' just because
the colours and font really stand out. I wanted to use my own
creativity such as the name and the symbol but 'Miramax' inspired me
with the theme they were aiming at. I think I did add some magic to
my logo by really thinking in depth about what and who I am aiming
at, what will draw attention to the audience and if it would pass as
a logo.
